The US has no immediate plans to invade Canada, a State Department spokeswoman clarified today during a press conference. The news broke after a journalist, interested in the nature of a recent closed-door meeting with Mexico, asked: “This isn’t some secret thing … to invade Canada or something like that?” To which the spokeswoman replied “No, no, no. It’s not anything classified.”
So while that particular meeting did not pertain to invasion plans, the existence of such a plan is still up in the air.
